Swim in the calm waters of the gulf as the pelicans dive for fish, or stroll over to Sand Dollar Island and find a variety of shells and bigger surf for boogie boarding. Dolphins are often seen within yards of the shoreline too. Rentals of cabanas, windsurfers, and small watercraft are available at Tigertail, as well as food, drink and a wonderful play area for children.

If you enjoy fishing, be sure to include a charter trip into the gulf, or backwater fishing with the many guides available. Motor boats and wave runners are also available from nearby marinas. Other leisure activites include tennis, sailing and parasailing. Golf is especially popular with several championship courses available in the area for public use.

The Everglades National Park is just down the road, with airboat and swamp-buggy rides available at a number of locations. There are wildlife centers including the zoo at Naples.

Marco Island boasts many restaurants covering cuisines from around the world, as well as a wide range of boutiques and shops. Nearby in Naples, you will find a faster pace with a variety of department store and designer outlets. Downtown Naples is renouned for its art galleries, specialty stores, restaurants and nightlife.
